The Foundation Fundraising Activities
The Foundation Officers and Directors meet during January to set the tentative agenda as to which funds will be allocated so that the President and Treasurer can adjust the budget for the year to adequately provide for anticipated expenses. New business for grants and other levies on the treasury of the Foundation are brought up for discussion and voted upon. The President or his designee can contact the various organizations when the donation is called for.
The Foundation is a Section 501(c)(3) pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code for a tax exempt organization and which are type B corporations under Section 201 of the Not for Profit Corporation Law of the State of New York.
The Foundation is in compliance with all laws and regulations that affect the operation of the Foundation.
The Foundation has no salaried officers, directors or employees. The Foundation functions are performed entirely by volunteers. Beyond the reimbursement of volunteer incurred common administrative expenses; such as, stationary, postage and printing, all Foundation funds are directed toward the benefit of the CNY Veteran Community.
